North of 60!!!

Well yesterday was quite a day for us and difficult to get a grasp of. We have talked about going to the Yukon for years and today we actually found ourselves in the Yukon. Yes two old geezers, living like Gypsys drove 7,000km pulling a trailer in four weeks. We are in Whitehorse, Yukon, on the banks of the historic Yukon River, in the middle of Gold Rush country.
We also crossed the Continental Divide where the Yukon River flows one way and the Laird River flows the other direction. Two of the longest rivers in the world.
And of course we crossed lat 60 north North.

We drove about 460 km and saw far more lakes and rivers than previously.

And so we are planning to see the sights and do some hiking in Whitehorse and area until monday and then head to Dawson City. We will take two days as it too is about 700km north of here.
